In the heart of Alt Maestrat, between the municipalities of Culla and La Torre d'En Besora, is the Parc Miner del Maestrat, one of only three mining parks that can be visited in Spain. A privileged space in which to learn about the old underground mining industry, tour its galleries and learn how those men who left this extraordinary legacy lived and worked. It is a heritage with great tourist and cultural attraction and that constitutes an experience for the senses. Delve into the bowels of the earth and discover its secret!The Parc Miner del Maestrat is located in the natural area of La Fontanella, at an altitude of about 800 metres, from where you can contemplate magnificent panoramic views of the region. The Maestrat Mining Park is made up of a set of longitudinal galleries of more than 4 km whose minerals were extracted from the 40s to the mid-60s of the last century, essentially oxides and hydroxides of iron and goethite, as you discover when touring the old Victoria and Esperanza mines
